Do you offer a free trial?
Yes. Every new account gets a 30-day free trial with full access to all Individual plan features, including block, redact, and allow enforcement, custom patterns, personal semantic detection, and the detection dashboard. No credit card required. After 30 days, subscribe at $12/month to continue.
What is semantic detection?
Semantic detection goes beyond regex patterns by understanding context. The Individual plan includes 24 built-in semantic rules covering identity, financial, medical, contact, and digital data. The Team plan unlocks full semantic detection: all industry presets plus the ability to write custom rules in plain English like "flag settlement amounts" or "detect internal project codenames." Semantic detection catches what regex cannot: spoken-out SSNs, partial card info, confidential business metrics, and context-dependent PII.
What happens when the backend is unavailable?
The browser extension defaults to fail-closed mode. Submissions are blocked when the backend cannot be reached. This is configurable to fail-open if preferred.
Can we deploy on our own infrastructure?
Enterprise plans include the option for single-tenant or private deployment. Contact us to discuss your requirements.
Does Obfusca store our prompts or files?
No. Obfusca never stores raw prompts or files. Only anonymized metadata and detection pattern hits are logged. Content hashes are used for deduplication, not reconstruction.
